Stellina - Wooden Construction and Children Peg Game with a Twist by Selecta European Toys

Made in Germany by Selecta European Toys. Selecta Stellina is a fun mix between a puzzle, construction toy, children's peg game and sorting toy. Stellina has 1 wooden star that forms the center of the puzzle and then there are 5 arms that connect to the star and neigbouring arms like a puzzle. Each one of Stelina's arms is a different color and has 3 peg holes for sorting pegs. There are 3 colored pegs for every arm and the pegs are different hights allowing for color and dimentional sorting activities. As with all Selecta Spielzeug wooden toys, Stellina is made in Germany from hard wood and the non-toxic colors used are saliva and bump resistant, rendering a heirloom quality toy with fade resistant colors!

Selecta Toys Surface finishing:
As a natural material, wood can be safely put into a child’s mouth. Selecta only uses environmentally- friendly and totally safe paints and lacquers which comply with EN71 and US safety standard ASTM. Selecta were one of the first manufacturers to provide their toys with an additional coating of beeswax , which naturally finishes the surface with a very soft, velvety coating. Using a special transfer printing process, Selecta is able to print colourful illustrations onto the wood itself. This process enables Selecta to produce very bright and brilliant colours, as well as providing a strong scratch resistant surface which can withstand saliva . SKU 1513

Stellina

Stellina is a beautifully constructed toy however the red coloured pegs seem a little too pink in terms of matching with the red star colour! My daughter loves putting the star together and placing the pegs in their proper place! She will put the star in the centre with either its eyes open or shut.
