Haba's toys feature materials generally found in nature. Haba purchases their wood, primarily Maple and Beech wood from long-term regional partners. Wood is naturally resistant to bacteria which makes it a great material for toys especially baby toys, baby teethers and baby grasping toys .
Haba only uses baby safe, water-based ecological solvent free lacquers on the surfaces of their wooden toys. Multiple lacquer layers render the surface of the toy extremely resistant to humidity, saliva and wear and tear, allowing the toy to be taken from the hand to the mouth at any time . SKU 539
