The banjo has a pleasant weight and makes a nice sound. The baby enjoys feeling the wood and making some noise with the strings. Our older child likes to strum along to the Beatles. This banjo is really quite beautiful and enjoyable as a piece of fine workmanship while sturdy enough to enjoy rocking out with the little ones.

I bought this banjo for my 2 1/2 year old, but it is really more of a toy, the strings are not set up to tune, so you cant actually make music from it. That being said the materials are fabulous, and the natural rubber makes a great drum.
